Course Structure, One Year Certificates, Two Year Degree, Four Year Degree,
and Masters Degree
Course Structure
Courses are structured to meet the needs of older high school students and those adults who work and are involved in Christian service. Each course meets once a week allowing students with limited time to take an additional course and to complete the course assignments. While we have a morning class that meets before noon, most of our classes meet Monday, Tuesday, or Thursday evening beginning at 6:30 and ending just after 9:00. All courses are “3 hour” courses, allowing time to become immersed in the concepts of biblical truth. Classes are held from mid-August until the week before Thanksgiving and from mid-January until April with a week off for the Strawberry Festival the first of March.
Degrees and Certificates Offered
Evangelical College and Seminary offers degree programs varied from those who desire personal development to those whose calling and ministry are supported by a recognized degree. Courses offered for any program may be taken for personal and spiritual growth as an audit without the need of doing the reading and taking the tests required for academic credit.
Spiritual Life Certificate
This certificate enables students to attend class without the responsibility of class assignments or testing. Attendance is required to maximize the learning experience. Individuals who desire to advance their knowledge of the Scriptures are able to attend regular college courses. There is no academic credit for the courses, thus courses may not be applied to a Bible certificate or as courses in the pursuit of a degree. The completion of ten courses qualifies the student for the Spiritual Life Certificate.
Biblical Studies Certificate
This certificates require the completion of 10 courses to provide a well-structured, balanced approach to the Scriptures. No specific order is required, allowing personal interests to guide in course selection. Completion of a certificate may thus provide the foundation for moving on to the Associate’s degree.
