Administration & Faculty
Dr. Wallace Lont serves as Academic Dean. His degrees come from Summit University with the Th.B. and Bob Jones University with the M.A. in pastoral theology and Ph.D. in church administration. He has served in four churches, beginning at the age of 19, for a total of 20 years. He has over 30 years of experience at teaching, while also serving as an academic dean and president of another institution.
Professor Robert Westlake serves as Treasurer and Professor of Bible and Apologetics. He has a Bachelors degree from Baylor University and a MBA from Duquesne University. He served 15 years in banking and 27 years as a business owner. His degree of M.A.B.S. is from Dallas Theological Seminary. He teaches courses in biblical studies and Christian evidences.
Dr. Jack Weitzel serves as Professor in Bible and Science. He served 30 years as a general surgeon and is a cancer survivor. He holds the M.A.B.S. degree from EU&S and has taught for 6 years. His meticulous hand at surgery is evident in the precision with which he teaches. Dr. Weitzel has also receive a second master's degree, now in Christian education and apologetics from the Institute for Creation Research.
Dr. Oscar Tichy is Professor in Bible and General Studies. He is a trained engineer with a Ph.D. in theology. He has taught courses in Bible, history, and general studies for 2 institutions over a period of 25 years. Students look forward to his classes with great expectation.
Mrs. Phyllis Westlake serves as Registrar. She has the Master of Arts degree from Piedmont University. She has maintained student contacts and records for the last ten years.
Dr. Betty Tower is Professor of Biblical Counseling. She has two Ph.D. degrees in counseling and in psychology. Her vibrant, successful counseling ministry serves the greater Plant City area.
Professor Aaron Brown is Professor in BIble and Biblical Studies. He received his Master's degree from Evangelical. He founded Plant City's Free Rider Fellowship over 12 years ago. He has 27 years of ministry service along with 25 years in management.
Professor Marc Mashburn is Professor in Bible and Biblical Studies. He is a Master's Candidate at Evangelical. He pastors Plant City's Bethany Baptist Church. His years of pastoral service and contributions to Evangelical enable him to expound the truths of the Bible with appropriate application to individual spiritual lives and to the calling of the local church.
Associate Professor Morgan Whidden is Associate Professor in Biblical Studies. He is a Master's Candidate at Evangelical. Morgan serves in his local church and is an eager student of the Scriptures. His practical and professional capabilities provide a solid foundation for his teaching the Word of God.
Other qualified faculty members join our basic faculty to provide expertise in their field of training and experience.
